this was some weeks ago..but memories of shea never die

I go to A LOT of Mets games, as everyone knows by now. I keep a mental list of the top games I ‘ve been to, and I have a lot to choose from. (I’m pretty sure I’m going to hit that 200 mark soon). The game played on Thursday, April 17th will go down as one of the best games EVER for me. Ask my friends James or Mooge. They’ll agree I’m sure.

So we get the bleacher seats, where REAL fans sit. This was a fun combination of hearing some dude yelling “HARRIS SUCKS” the whole game, watching Endy Chavez pick his wedgies, bothering the Nationals bullpen, seeing the Dunkin Donuts cup up close, and being on TV! That’s right, we were on television.

As for the game itself? Amazin. Nats tied the game late, so it went on to extra innings. (“I only dance in extra innings!” – Chris Mougis) Meaning unfortunately that we sobered up by the 11th inning, but at least we got to witness a 14th inning stretch! I had work early the next morning, but after awhile, you just stop caring, while ignoring the cold, and just suck it up. The mets made it damn worth it too.

We won on a WILD PITCH. A wild freaking pitch. Also Figueroa showed what he’s made of. I wonder if LoDuca wasn’t hurt…would he have gotten as booed as Milledge was this game? Hmmmm.

All in all, a perfect night. Amazin.
